Anniversary Weekend in Niagara Falls

Four Points by Sheraton

My wife and I typically celebrate our anniversary in Niagara Falls between September and November because of our busy work schedules. We’ve previously stayed at the Hilton for such occasions but decided to try the Four Points this year as the Hilton was unreasonably overpriced for this particular weekend.

Having booked a city view King with whirlpool online through Four Points’ website for Friday September 11 for 2 nights, we were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a falls view suite on the 14th floor. A gesture by the hotel in recognition of our anniversary that we are very grateful for. Claudia at the front desk who checked us in was wonderful.

Our upgraded room was 1416 with access via the “B” elevators. These elevators goes directly to the 14-18th floors only. So access to our suite is very fast and efficient and very little traffic.

Looking from the outside, the 14-18th floors protrude out with a nice bronze tinted windows. These are great 1 way windows that offers great privacy. Especially since there’s a sitting area there. You can’t see in from the outside day or night. We loved it.

Every hotel staff we came across during our 2 night stay have been very polite and nice. The hotel was very clean and we couldn’t find any flaws. Although room 1416 is located closest to the elevators, on the 14th floor it wasn’t an issue as there was very little traffic and even then, we couldn’t hear them at all. Other reviews regarding that issue must be more prevalent on other lower floors.

Things to note in the rooms is that there isn’t a fridge which would have proven to be handy for drinks. But it’s not a big issue for us. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. A small gesture by the hotel in upgrading our room certainly made our celebration weekend much more memorable.

Note that this is also my TripAdvisor review.
